State Library's Schools Engagement team work with schools all over Queensland to help students become better researchers and develop their media literacy and critical thinking skills.
We offer customised on-site and live-streamed workshops for your classes, engaging resources for teaching and learning the Australian and QCAA curriculums, free access to an enormous collection of eBooks, international databases and news archives for student research and professional development opportunities for teachers that help you bring Queensland stories and First Nations perspectives into your classroom.

State Library offers free workshops to help your students become better researchers and learn how to access high quality information sources for the specific research assessment they are completing in your class.
Special events by term
Join us throughout the school year for special workshops, exhibitions and events exploring a range of themes, from building media literacy skills and commemorating Anzac Day and Remembrance Day to discovering fascinating stories and treasures from State Library's collections.
