In this interactive workshop, led by a library professional, students in Years 7–12 will learn how to construct effective search inquiries and use State Library’s One Search catalogue to access a wide range of resources, including e-books, databases and news archives.

These sessions support the completion of research assessments or external exam tasks, foster critical thinking and support building media and information literacy skills, and equip students for academic achievement and lifelong success.

Workshop notes:

  • Teachers are to provide a research topic or copy of student assessment to assist with workshop delivery.
  • Each student will need a laptop to participate in this workshop.
