In a previous post I mentioned our digitisation of Professor Raymond Evan's classic study Loyalty and Disloyalty: Social Conflict on the Queensland Homefront, 1914-18. Throughout February Prof. Evans is leading a Loyalty and Disloyalty reading group with State Library staff to share his knowledge of the issues raised in his book.
In the first of these sessions we discussed chapters 1 and 2 dwelling on some of the unique aspects of WWI as it was experienced by Queenslanders. Thanks to Professor Evans for an enriching learning experience. It is wonderful for Library and Museum staff to broaden our understanding of this period as we engage in a range of programs and activities commemorating the events of 1914 to 1918 including QANZAC100.
