The woman who shaped Beckham's abs is coming to Brisbane

One of the people who helped shape David Beckham’s abs is coming to Brisbane to teach creatives how they can carve out their own niche.

Tegan Haining, a former international model and fitness trainer who has trained David Beckham, Jessica Gomes and Lara Stone, will headline Curated in Newstead this month.

The December 12-22 event, hosted by Newstead creative hub Cove, has been put on to bring designers, photographers, bloggers and influencers together to share knowledge on how to advance in their fields.

Brisbane has seen a host of shared work spaces open in recent years but most have been geared towards attracting technology companies and start-ups.

Cove, which opened in September, is the first co-working space of its kind in the city.

Restaurateurs, music producers, designers, fitness bloggers and even a sommelier will also share their ideas at the event.

Cove director Courtney Norris said she wanted the event to bring together the type of people who often worked alone to connect them with other creative industries and get them to collaborate.

“We wanted to create a camp-style environment where we are able to bring people from all different fields including food, fashion wellbeing, beauty and travel,” Ms Norris said. Read more
