Swipe right on dating app Bumble for business at the races

Michelle Battersby has received a few strange messages on recruitment platforms like LinkedIn.
"I have received messages from people and you are not sure if they are interested in business because they ask you for a drink or they comment on your appearance," the Australian lead for dating app Bumble told Fairfax Media. "I am sure as a woman most of us can put our hands up and say something similar has happened."Bumble is using this year's Melbourne Cup Carnival to promote its Bumble Bizz feature which launched earlier this year and is aimed at putting an end to harassment on recruitment platforms for women.
"We initially launched as a dating app to empower women to go after what they want in the dating realm," Ms Battersby said. "It was honestly a natural progression to Bumble Bizz as we felt that we launched with such a strong mission." On Bumble Bizz, like on the dating app, it is women who must make the initial contact.
