State Library's hosts the Queensland Growth Management Summit

The Queensland Growth Management Summit is being held at the State Library and brings together 240 industry leaders and experts with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of population trends, climate change, architecture, planning and industry to assist the Queensland Government in tackling the challenges of population growth.  Also in attendance for the Summit will be the Premier of Queensland, the Queensland Treasurer, the Federal Treasurer and the Lord Mayor of
Brisbane.

The summit is being held over two days, on 30th and 31st March.

The summit is being widely covered by the media.  Also prominent at the summit are a range of protesters promoting and arguing their various causes and the State Library's photographer, Reina Irmer, has documented this activity.  These images will join our rich collections documenting the history and development of Queensland in all its phases.
