A group of Brisbane's most ambitious female entrepreneurs is set to converge on River City Labs next month as the tech hub hosts its Women Startup Weekend (WSW) event from 9 to 11 February.
This will be the second time River City Labs has hosted the event which is run in tandem with the Global Women Startup Weekend movement across 18 countries.
Organisers say the weekend will attract a crowd of like-minded women who are either in business or hoping to start their own venture, including 'intrapreneurs' from the corporate world, social media influencers and so-called 'mumpreneurs'.
Peta Ellis, CEO of River City Labs, says diversity is a key component of WSW and it's a unique opportunity to engage with other tech savvy women who shine in areas including coding, marketing, sales and digital entrepreneurship.
"It is the perfect opportunity for women from all walks of life to come together, commit to themselves and give their idea half a chance in a supportive environment," says Ellis. Read more
