By business I mean genuine business people – small business, tech start-ups and entrepreneurs. The Abbott Government did nothing for Australia’s start-up and entrepreneurial culture. Despite the rhetoric, the Government failed to properly fix the problems with employee options schemes and is wasting hundreds of millions of dollars on a loony data retention plan (which was supported by the almost equally-appalling Shorten opposition). Similar data retention legislation was been shown to be useless in preventing terrorism in Europe and will cost ISPs and taxpayers a fortune." Read more
