Standards and guidelines are designed to assist Queensland public library staff and local governments in the planning and development of their library services. State Library of Queensland will shortly begin a rolling review of the standards and guidelines in consultation with public libraries which will continue on an annual basis.

State Library plans on reviewing three standards this year and we need to know which ones you would like reviewed first. We have heard informally through other consultation processes that the standards about staffing, technology and library buildings are your priorities − however we need to confirm this. Let us know before Friday, 18 August 2017 which Standards from this list you would like to see reviewed this year.

We also need your help to review these standards and would like to invite you to participate in a Working Group to undertake this process. Please register your interest by filling out question two and three of the survey.
