Hometown tennis hero Millman to serve up a storm at Brisbane International

After causing one of tennis history's greatest upsets earlier this month by defeating 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer in the US Open, John Millman has booked his place to compete in the Brisbane International to kick off the 2019 season.
With 100 days to go before the start of the tournament, Millman has confirmed he will return to his favourite venue the Pat Rafter Arena where he has previously taken both Federer and Andy Murray to three sets.
At 29 years of age, the tenacious tennis star recently reached a career high ranking of 37 after competing in his first ever Grand Slam quarterfinal where he was ultimately beaten by the eventual US Open champion Novak Djokovic.
"I am really looking forward to coming back home and playing in front of all the fans who gave me so much support during my US Open run," Millman said.
"There was so much excitement around Australia and I am determined to keep producing that level of tennis in Brisbane."
Brisbane International tournament director Cameron Pearson expects big crowds at Pat Rafter Arena for Millman's matches.
