As much as we love books and manuscripts, State Library of Queensland is Digital by Design. We are committed to helping all Queenslanders feel at home in the digital environment, which is why we fund programs like Tech Savvy Seniors and Deadly Digital Communities to help bridge the digital divide in Queensland.

State Library also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Goal 10: Reduced inequalities means we are committed to overcoming social, geographic and economic barriers to digital inclusion. According to the Australian Digital Inclusion Index older people and, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders living in remote communities are most at risk of being left behind when government services move online and access to technology, as well as the ability to use it, becomes more and more important.
