Game Changers: In conversation with Queensland business leader Bruce Wolfe [event]

Bruce Wolfe, Managing Director of Conrad Gargett, is a highly respected architect who has worked on some of Queensland’s largest and most innovative building projects and is president of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects.

For the past seven years Bruce has led the masterplanning, design and delivery team on the recently completed $1.4B Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital. As a public building this facility enshrines some of Bruce’s principal design concerns, connection to community, inviting and experiential architecture and an integration between art and place. In 2013 this project won the International Academy of Design and Health Award for best future Hospital. He has recently led the Master Plan team for the $2.5B Sunshine Coast University Hospital and undertaken commissions for University and Defence Campuses throughout Queensland. Bruce is Adjunct Professor and member of the academic advisory board at the School of architecture, University of Queensland, and Country Representative (Australia) for Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

Game Changers is a Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame initiative presented by SLQ, QUT Business School and the Queensland Library Foundation. The Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame celebrates, records and retells the stories of outstanding Queensland business leaders and their contributions to our state.
