The Library Board of Queensland Award and the John Oxley Library Award are given by the Library Board of Queensland, the statutory authority governing the State Library of Queensland.  The John Oxley Library Fellowship encourages the research and documenting of Queensland history, using sources contained within the State Library in general, and specifically within the collections of the John Oxley Library.  The John Oxley Library Community History Award recognises excellence and innovation in the recording of Queensland history by individuals and local community organisations.
