ACCLAIMED RESTAURANT AND ENTERTAINMENT DUO ENLISTED TO THE STAR'S NEW ROOFTOP VENUE

THE Star Gold Coast's new tower The Darling, which is nearing completion, has enlisted high profile Gold Coast identities Simon Gloftis and Billy Cross for its new rooftop restaurant and bar.

Acclaimed restaurateur Gloftis and entertainment guru Cross will co-manage the venue, bringing a wealth of home-grown and international dining and entertainment expertise.

Gold Coast restaurant mogul Gloftis has quickly gone from humble kitchenhand to respected icon of the foodie scene.

From his early years as café owner of local venues like Three Beans and Little Beans, to now being the owner of Hellenika, Gloftis has become an institution in the Gold Coast dining scene.

"My passion for food and my passion for my hometown is undying and I remain committed to continually revolutionising how we deliver exceptional, high-end food experiences to ensure the Gold Coast is transformed into a dining mecca," says Gloftis.

Cross, CEO of Queensland's Cross Promotions International, has been building his entertainment empire over three decades.

Cross' company is behind some of the biggest events in Australia including The Falls Festival, Schoolies, Summerfieldayze and V8 Supercars 600 Sounds. Read more
