Portraits after dark

Step into State Library of Queensland after hours for a special one-night-only event. 

Explore the Brisbane Portrait Prize Finalist Exhibition in a relaxed social setting, where art, music and performance meet. This is your chance to Stare into the Soul of Brisbane through the eyes of its artists.

Throughout the evening: 

• slq Gallery will pulse with an ambient soundtrack from a live DJ.
• Poinciana Lounge hosts performances from talented local musicians.
• Red Box becomes a live drawing studio where artists capture portraits in real time.
• A pop-up book shop offers a curated selection of titles from local and art-focused publishers.
• Participate in a hands-on, portrait-inspired activity.
