Play Matters Portuguese speaking playgroup

All ages.

Every second Wednesday families gather in The Parlour at the State Library for a lively time together, celebrating the rhythm of Portuguese language.

At each session, facilitators Beatriz, Larissa, and Marina lead songs and rhymes inspired by their Brazilian heritage, sharing folklore stories and bringing the magic of Carnival to life through vibrant drums and dance. Afterward, little ones can make new friends and explore their creativity during free play, surrounded by vivid colors and a joyful, playful spirit.

The entire playgroup is conducted in Portuguese to promote language development and introduce children to the warmth, music, and celebrations that connect people together.  People from all countries that speak Portuguese are welcome.

We look forward to welcoming you and your children to our next playgroup!

Estamos super animados para receber você e sua família no nosso próximo encontro!

No bookings required for this free activity. Just drop in to have some fun.

This program is presented by Play Matters Australia and supported by State Library of Queensland.
