National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day

Recommended all ages

Drop into kuril dhagun to celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day 2025: Little footsteps, big future!! This special day allows all Australians to show support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, who are building resilience and empowerment. It highlights how culture nurtures pride, identity, and sacredness in every family and community, benefiting every child's life.

Join us for a morning of music and songs that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Collect your free Children's day bag and stay and play after the session with shared morning tea for all. Join in a weaving workshop for families with Yuluwirri Weaving who will be sharing First Nations values of community and conservation through hands-on weaving workshops, designed especially for our youngest creators and their carers.

Be inspired and experience the vibrant showcase Culture Love celebrating the creativity and cultural pride of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from across Queensland. It began as a thriving school holiday program engaging youth, Elders, artists, and musicians, delivered through Indigenous Knowledge Centres located in regional Queensland communities.
