Hack the evening

Join this weekly meetup for makers, designers, fabricators and anyone interested in learning new skills or getting hands-on with some of the digital and fabrication equipment at The Edge.

Hack the evening is on from 5pm as part of our Thursday night Open lab and is a great time to drop in to work on solo or group projects.

We often run community projects, designing and building with project outcomes in mind. Hack the evening is also a great chance to get to know what type of projects you can undertake at The Edge with the available equipment.

How do I find it? Hack the evening happens across our Digital Media Lab, Innovation lab and outside The Brink cafe at The Edge.

July to September Project

During July to September, our Hack the evening project will be focused around electronics and accessories, adding some flair to your sewing projects or fabricated items. Think individually designed ghetto blaster bags and light up caps!

Come along and join in the community fun, work on your own item or with a few other Open lab patrons. We'll be providing some electronics items for use and offcuts of fabric vinyl etc. Drop by to find out more.

Open lab hours

Open lab sessions are: Wednesday 1:30 pm – 8.00 pm, Thursday 1:30 – 8:00 pm and Saturday 12 noon – 5:00 pm
