Culture Love

Culture Love is a vibrant showcase celebrating the creativity and cultural pride of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from across Queensland. It began as a thriving school holiday program engaging youth, Elders, artists, and musicians, delivered through Indigenous Knowledge Centres located in regional Queensland communities from 2009 to 2013.

Featuring visual art, animation, photography, storytelling, and music, the showcase reflects how identity is expressed through diverse mediums.

Developed over many years, Culture Love has supported hundreds of young people from regional and remote communities to share their voices and cultural experiences.

In recognition of the NAIDOC Week 2025 theme – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, the exhibition highlights the significance of youth as cultural leaders and knowledge-holders. It pays tribute to the Elders and artists who have guided the work and honours the legacy of a program now preserved in State Library's collection.

Culture Love invites visitors to connect with powerful stories of culture, creativity, and community – past, present, and future.
