AIA State Architecture Awards Winners 2025

Celebrating design excellence in Queensland architecture

Discover the very best of Queensland architecture at this digital showcase presented at The Edge.

In collaboration with the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA), State Library is proud to present a month-long celebration of the 2025 Queensland State Architecture Award winners, recognising design excellence and the critical role architecture plays in shaping communities across the state.

Each featured project has been recognised through a competitive awards process involving local and state juries across Queensland’s seven regional chapters. Architects submitted A1 presentation boards that illustrated how their work exemplifies innovation, sustainability, and contribution to the built environment.

These have been transformed into a digital-based showcase for this exhibition across The Edge screens, the three vertical displays located in the entryway of the building and will be viewable until mid-August.

Whether you're an industry professional, student, or simply curious about the buildings shaping Queensland’s future, this is an opportunity to see the creativity and vision behind some of the state’s most celebrated architectural works.

See it as part of Brisbane Open House

This exhibition runs during Brisbane Open House on 19 and 20 July, with special activities at The Edge – perfect timing to immerse yourself in the world of architecture and design.
