3D Video Holograms

Magic lanterns, holographs, holograms and Peppers Ghost, this workshop covers the history of the different types of projection and illusion techniques and their links with new technologies. 

During the workshop, participants will be introduced to The Edge’s free software and digital equipment, where they will learn basic video editing skills. They will also discover how to capture a video of a 3D model to create their own floating hologram (Pepper’s Ghost).  

Participants will take home their own custom-made personal hologram display device and 3D hologram video.

Requirements to participate in this workshop

• Participants must be over 16 years of age. 

• Enclosed, flat footwear must be worn at all times in the Innovation lab.
