Celebrate creativity, culture, and community these school holidays at State Library of Queensland with a range of hands-on workshops and family-friendly activities designed to inspire all ages.
Drop in to connect with Kalkadoon painter and storyteller Colleen Sam and discover how to create animal tracks using colourful sand or book tickets to an immersive painting workshop. In the workshop you’ll explore how to use colours, symbols, and animals to tell powerful stories and create your own masterpiece to take home.
Enjoy playful activities for all ages in The Corner, inspired by colour and creativity followed by a celebration of NAIDOC: The Next Generation every day of the second week. Uncover Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community heroes through stories, music, art activities and games. Plus, enjoy our Scavenger hunt and cozy Reading room for the perfect blend of exploration and relaxation.
