State Library of Queensland offers an exciting program of learning opportunities for students, educators, large groups and learners of all ages. Through our collections, exhibitions and events we aim to inspire, challenge and engage all Queenslanders to develop skills and knowledge for lifelong learners.
Share the Vision: Teachers and Librarians Symposium 2019 brings together teacher librarians and educational leaders to learn, collaborate and connect. Be inspired, grow your teaching, discuss best practice to support your school library, and explore ways to make young people fall in love with reading. The program includes keynote addresses, short, practical sessions, and a panel discussion. Speakers include Rhianna Patrick, Dianne McKenzie, Peter Carnavas and other education professionals with diverse viewpoints and topics.

Group tours and self-guided visits are great ways to get to know State Library’s amazing spaces, collections and services. Our free guided tours last 45 minutes and are suitable for all groups including students, years 5 and up.
Guided tours are available to groups of students Year 5 through tertiary as well as teachers, librarians and other adult groups. Bookings close 14 days’ prior to each date. If your group has special requirements please contact us directly.
