Over the last 18 months kuril dhagun has delivered Indigenous Family History workshops with Kathy Frankland from Community and Personal Histories (Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships).
The series has been offered through four workshops on the first Saturday of each month. Introduction to Indigenous Family History has been one of the most popular sessions providing the first steps to starting family history research.
Session two provided an exclusive viewing of State Library collections including historical diaries and papers that recorded names and languages of local groups during early colonial times.
Other workshops covered basic scanning principles with access to kuril dhagun's community scanners and using trove to support Aboriginal and Islander family history research.
