Thinking outside the square for library marketing

Could you be putting local stories in the cafes near your workplace? How would that change your community’s relationship to literature – and their local library?

US Library Journal has a feature on the Coffee Cup Stories project which saw Parkes Shire in New South Wales collect local stories and print them onto takeout coffee cups for their entire shire.

The unusual marketing campaign boosted the library’s profile and celebrated local writers and creatives.
