Tablelands Regional Libraries takes on Floodlines

Recently the Kuranda Library hosted the Floodlines: a living memory travelling exhibition and hosted a Garden Party to highlight the exhibition to their local community. See photographs below. I met some wonderful locals as well as library staff and also the Far North Queensland Representative of ABC Open at the event.

The Tablelands Regional Library Service rose to the challenge to organised eight of their library branches to host the exhibition reaching out as far as Chillagoe and Dimbulah: (see Tablelands Regional libraries and dates below)

This has been a mighty feat by our Tablelands libraries and thanks to Gwen Price for having the energy and enthusiasim to keep the exhibition travelling through the Tablelands communities.

To finish the 2013 touring year of Floodlines the exhibition will visit the libraries listed below:

Croydon Library 20 September – 2 October
Normanton Library 18 – 29 October
Karumba Library 2 – 12 November

Then ready to do it all again for 2014 and beyond!
