State Library’s Summer Reading Club reading challenge has now come to an end. It’s with unanimous applause that we recognise all Reading Legends who participated online.

From 1 December 2020 through to 31 January 2021 a total of 842 participants joined online, logging over 2000 completed reading challenges, totally a whopping Club XP score of 17,365 XP! (experience points).

TOP 10 Challenges

All summer, children from across Queensland discovered new and exciting ways to engage with stories. Participation online was rewarded through the earning of online badges, unlocking new avatars and upping their user XP (experience points). Congratulations to Reader Sid, 9 years old, from Winton Library, who came up trumps earning the title of Challenge Master by completing 45 challenges and earning a whopping 800 XP!

After a summer of online fun – here are the top 10 reading challenges:

It’s been a marvellous summer, watching Club members share their reading discoveries and tales of wonder. State Library looks forward to welcoming all Readers back to the Summer Reading Club later this year. Until then, we hope children, families and young people continue to explore new and creative ways to read all year long!
