Strategic Grants Round Closing Soon

Only six weeks left to submit a First 5 Forever, Strategic Priorities, or Micro Grant application for 2018-19.

The State Library’s strategic priorities grant program is open to any Council operating a public library or IKC service in Queensland.

Funding is available to support strategic initiatives that reflect one or more of the four objectives outlined in Realising our potential: A vision for Queensland public libraries, including projects addressing barriers to access including digital literacy.

1. First 5 Forever Project Grant

Funding totaling $500,000 is available to Queensland public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres (IKCs) to apply for funding of up to $50,000 required for specific projects.

This Grant round closes at 5pm on Friday 22 February 2019.

2. Public Library Strategic Priorities Grant 

Funding totaling $400,000 is available to Queensland public libraries and IKCs to apply for project funding of up to $30,000 to deliver strategic initiatives through public libraries and IKCs across Queensland that reflect one or more of the four objectives outlined in Realising our potential: A vision for Queensland public libraries.

This Grant round closes at 5pm on Friday 22 February 2019.

3. Realising Our Potential Micro Grants 

The Micro Grants Program provides a total funding pool of $50,000 for quick response funding to Queensland public libraries and IKCs to deliver short-term, time-limited activities, projects or programs through public libraries and IKCs across Queensland.

Each application will be assessed upon receipt, and applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within 20 business days following acknowledgment by State Library of receipt of the application.
