National Simultaneous Story Time with the Injune Kindergarten

Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously in libraries, school, pre-schools, childcare centres, homes, workshops and many places around the country to encourage more young Australians to read and enjoy books.

This event provides an opportunity to involve parents, grandparents and others to participate in and enjoy NSS. There was a fantastic community involvement at the Library for the event. Injune Kindergarten children and a number of other local children participated. The picture book this year was “Hickory Dickory Dash”. We sang the nursery rhyme, “Hickory Dickory Dock” first, and then read through the “Hickory Dickory Dash” picture book. We finished off the morning making “Hickory Dickory Clocks”.
