Innovative Learning Tools are a highlight at Longreach

Grandparents, carers, friends and parents were invited to attend and celebrate Easter with our little people in the Longreach Library.

The First 5 Forever group enthusiastically sang, danced and rhymed with much adult participation. Storytime focused on the Easter theme and the session was extended to include creating rabbit ears. All small attendees received ears and a water bubble gift. Music was supplied by our new boom box and a few adults strummed our new guitar.

However, our innovative learning tools were the highlight of our Easter celebrations. The babies loved the glowing sensory blocks and the mystery sensory balls were a big hit with the toddlers. These new resources were made possible by a State Government Realising Our Potential Micro Grant.

The Easter Bunny surprised the children with his sudden appearance and admired the new learning tools. His favourite was the glowing blocks that he handed around randomly.

Fruit trays, sandwiches and healthy drinks were consumed ending a happy and informative morning in the library. The new learning tools enhanced and assisted with promotion of our library services and we anticipate more enjoyable learning activities.
