Hacks/Hackers: Data Encryption in the Media

By administrator | 24 February 2017

hub4101 is proud to partner with the Brisbane Chapter of Hacks/Hackers, a rapidly expanding international grassroots journalism organization which aims to create a network of journalists (“hacks”) and technologists (“hackers”).

Monthly events open to all members of the creative, innovative and digital community - people who seek to inspire each other, share information (and code) and collaborate to invent and share ideas on the future of media, journalism and technology.

FEBRUARY MEETUP

hub4101 is proud to support Hacks/Hackers Brisbane in 2017, and invite you to join us for our first meetup of the year!  Hear from Fredrik Strömberg, part of a team developing a memory card for journalists and human rights workers that automatically encrypts photos, video and audio for their protection and the protection of their sources. Stephen Stockwell from Triple J's Hack program will be in conversation with Fredrik about how his product could/would be used in the real world by journalists in the field.

If you’re interested in cyber security and innovative new technology, is the meetup for you! Register here

When: Tue 28 Feb 2017, 6-8 pm

Where: ABC Brisbane, 114 Grey Street, South Brisbane
