Forums this year – tell us more!
By Administrator | 20 February 2017
Community engagement, as well building staff skills and awareness, are your priorities for State Library’s professional development forums, according to your feedback on our consultative survey.
Advocacy and program development also top the list for learning at the Managing the Business of Libraries Forum to be held in Noosa, 22-23 May.
For the Digital Inclusion Forum, to be held in Brisbane from 26-27 June, so far you have told us that harnessing available technologies and promoting digital inclusion and literacy are priorities.
For the Supporting Business/ Providing Entrepreneur Support in Your Library forum from 13-14 November, early interest focuses on working with the economic development area in your Council.
Who do you want to see on stage for the learning and development forums this year?
We are also enjoying hearing from libraries willing to share good practice and ideas with their colleagues across the state.
Are these your training priorities for this year? Whether that’s a yes or no, why not take a few minutes to tell us more about what you would like and fill out the survey so your voice is heard too.
