First 5 Forever kicks off in Georgetown

By administrator | 9 April 2019

After many months in the planning, we finally had our first First 5 Forever gathering at the Georgetown Library.

With a lot of the families involved not living in town it was great to see so many travel to receive their books and hand puppet packs.

So many happy little faces enjoying their touch books, activity books, old favorites and many new favorites I am sure. There are still some packs to be sent out to the more remote families on stations.  Most of the families are now a part of the group and have joined a Facebook page and the First 5 Forever newsletters.

So a huge thank you from all of us to the Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ) network and the Queensland Government for sponsoring this great initiative.
