Mother and daughter standing beside their fashion designs

In the vibrant and resourceful environment of The Edge, Jaidee and her daughter have embarked on a creative journey of fashion design. Their story is one of resilience, inspiration, and the transformative power of art.

Their journey began after Jaidee's mother faced a significant medical issue that profoundly impacted their lives. This life-altering experience became a powerful reminder to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest. "I never want to live or allow my daughter to live in regret, so here we are," Jaidee says, reflecting on their newfound creative venture.

Having access to the equipment and resources at The Edge has been instrumental in their creative journey. "A platform where everything is at my fingertips along with a view that would make many cry in glory.," she notes, appreciating the inspiring environment that nurtures her daughter's natural curiosity.

This space has allowed them to channel their emotions and experiences into their designs. "Inspiring my child naturally to want to learn by watching and feeling her environment is a must.," Jaidee explains, drawing on her life experiences and extensive travels to over 100 countries, which have left an indelible imprint on her artistry.

The creative process has its challenges.  "The challenge of letting go, the first cut of the material is always the hardest," she admits. However, she has learnt to trust the process, which has been key to overcoming these fears and continuing to create meaningful work.

Looking ahead, they are excited about future projects using the sewing machines at The Edge. "We look forward to allowing the wind to hit our sails," she says, eager to learn more about themselves, appreciate the time they have, and make a lasting impact wherever they go. Their creativity is their ripple, touching lives and leaving a mark everywhere they travel.
