A visitor to the Eidsvold & District Historical Complex can peek into the history of the local area, stroll around the buildings and railway rolling stock and dally over the geological display, telecommunications, old tools and farm machinery.

Visitors are also enticed into the museum rooms displaying war artefacts and photographs and especially into Soldier's Corner dedicated to honoring the 62 soldiers from the Eidsvold area.

In the grounds of the complex is the original detached kitchen and slab hut from Knockbreak station and home of the Sinclair family.

Hanging on the wall of the building is this tribute to several members of the Sinclair family including David Sinclair #567 1st AIF and Sister Lucy Sinclair QX6272 2/2AGH.

Medal set of Frank Eichstadt

Medal set of Frank Eichstadt

Also in the collection is the set of service medals for Frank Julius Eichstadt, whose service number is 16 and joined on 18th August 1914, just days after the declaration of war. Frank was assigned to A section, 3rd field Ambulance and took part in the dawn landing at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915 as a stretcher bearer. Frank sustained a fractured ankle in October 1918 and returned to Australia in November 1919. He is buried in Eidsvold.

Standing proudly in the foyer of the council building is the Honor Board for the Shire of Eidsvold.
