Queensland public libraries are encouraged to submit a nomination for the Awards for Local Government.
About the Awards
The Awards' focus is on projects that are relevant to the national agenda and include:
- Digital Innovation in Local Government
- Disability Access and Inclusion
- Innovation to Create More Liveable Australian Cities
- Multicultural Australia—Strength in Diversity
- Promoting Indigenous Recognition
- Youth Economic Participation
- Arts Animates—excellence in capacity building and innovation
- Boosting Productivity through Infrastructure
- Contributing to Regional Growth

The Awards are administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities with support from sponsors.
