Do you love your local history?

By administrator | 16 October 2017

The Queensland Local Studies Group (QLSG) meets to share information on all aspects of local history, both old and new. The group acts as a medium in which to discuss matters relating to providing local studies services to members of the public.

Meetings are held several times a year and hosted by different public libraries on a volunteer basis. The host sets the agenda, which might include a tour of the library or nearby heritage locations, guest speakers, white gloves experiences or collection show-and-tell, group discussions, or hands-on workshops.

Membership is free, and all Queensland public library staff are welcome to join.

The next meeting will be hosted by Moreton Bay Region Libraries at the North Lakes Library. 7 November 2017. RSVP by calling (07) 5433 2451

Previous meeting agendas and minutes are available on the Public Libraries Connect website. You can also subscribe to the online discussion list via the localstudies page.
