While Brisbane will be a hot spot of activity, the regional communities of Gladstone, Toowoomba, Townsville and Chinchilla will also experience their share of the wonders of STEM.

From palaeontology to winemaking, there’s something on offer for everyone, and lots of food for thought for libraries to begin planning programs and workshops to tie in with the festival in 2018. Start thinking about creative ideas to delve into – like pathology, mineralogy, arachnology, geoscience, biodiversity, engineering, illustration, virtual reality, drones or robotics – these are all topics on the agenda for the regional events this year.

Keep an eye on the World Science Festival website for opportunities to participate; the festival team is keep to expand their regional programming next year!
