Teacher librarians and librarians are invited to join the team at the Department of Education and Training Reading Centre for high tea and presentations from guest speakers in celebration of this year’s Book Week– ‘Escape to Everywhere’ and celebrate the positive impact reading has on people’s everyday lives.

Guest speaker Christine Bongers, former radio and television journalist, and author of children’s novels will be joining us to discuss her experiences and her journey as an author. Christine’s latest teen novel Intruder won the Davitt Award for Best Debut Crime Book in 2015 and was shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year for Older Readers.
