Calling SMEs to test innovative ICT solutions with government
If you are a small firm and think you might know how to make better use of data to improve patient health or 10 other challenging business problems the Queensland Government has identified, you might like to take part in the next round of its very practical innovation program.
The Testing Within Government or TWiG program builds on the success of last year’s program, offering $275,000 worth of funding in this second round.
Under the first round of the TWiG program, launched in August 2016, four business problems were addressed, with each participant receiving $25,000 in Queensland Government support.
In round two local startups and small businesses will once again work collaboratively with government officers, this time from eight agencies, over the 12-week TWiG program to test their ICT solutions against real business problems.
Government will benefit by having small firms apply innovative thinking to technology challenges and TWiG participants get to work directly with end users to perfect their product and better understand how to work with large enterprises in the future.
At the end of the program, TWiG participants will showcase their solutions and capabilities to representatives from Queensland Government and private industry.
