Calling all RLQ and Small Libraries staff!

The Realising our potential – 2019 Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ)and Small Libraries Workshop will be held at State Library of Queensland (State Library) from Tuesday 30 April 2019 to Thursday 2 May 2019 with an optional bus tour to two public libraries on Friday 3 May 2019.
The workshop is a great opportunity for all RLQ and small libraries staff to learn how the new Vision can help them communicate to council and community the potential of their local library; enhance library operational skills and collections knowledge, as well as connecting and collaborating with colleagues and State Library staff to inspire new ideas for services and programs to extend the reach of the library and meet the needs and interests of their local communities.
In addition to the workshop, attendees may choose to participate in the following optional events:
- Join your colleagues for dinner at The Plough Inn (https://ploughinn.com.au/) for a friendly pre-workshop get together (at own expense)
- Home: a suburban obsession Exhibition Tour (free event)
- Game Changers in conversation with Cameron Costello (free event)
- Library Tours – Marsden Library, Logan City Libraries and Springfield Library, Ipswich City Council (transport provided)

Travel Bursary: Travel bursaries are available on application. Application forms are available for download from the Public Libraries Connect (PLC) training calendar.
