Architecture and history buffs! One of Brisbane's favourite weekend events has just released its 2017 program!

Brisbane Open House launch at 1 William Street
Brisbane Open House returns for its 8th year with over 90 Brisbane properties opening their doors during the weekend of 7 & 8 October. The official launch was hosted at the new government offices at 1 William Street, Brisbane which was designed by Woods Bagot.
There are quite a few new buildings featuring this year, while some of the more popular buildings from previous events such as Archerfield Airport return to charm visitors for another year.
State Library of Queensland will be hosting free Fun Palace children's activities on Saturday 7 October and visitors are welcome to do a self-guided tour of our award-winning building.

Some of the highlights of the Brisbane Open House program include guided tours of Level 41 at 1 William Street; Kirk Studio in Woolloongabba; Bardon House by Gavin Litfin with refurbishments by Nielsen Jenkins architects; and the iconic D House by Timothy Hill.
As well as tours, there will be Made In Brisbane Talks and a Speaker Series, which includes a free Great Debate on the topic of "Heritage is an obstacle to progression" hosted at Brickworks Design Studio on Thursday 28 September.
