Books on a plane

We’ve seen libraries at the beach, on the side of the road and in shopping malls. But now libraries have taken to the skies, with a UK airline adding children’s libraries to all its planes!

The ‘flybrary’ collection has been chosen by former children’s laureate Dame Jacqueline Wilson and includes classics such as Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Peter Pan.

Flights within Europe don’t often provide enough time to finish an entire book, so the airline suggests downloading the titles to a device before leaving the plane and reading the remainder at their destination... what a great initiative to increase reading!
