Earlier in January, Patsy released her official memoir, The Drover's Daughter - a story full of warmth, honesty and humour which has strong ties to our region. The book features particular locations in the Western Downs, including Bell, Chinchilla, Jandowae, Moonie, Meandarra and Tara. "This is the first book ever knowingly written about a droving family working their way from town to town across two Australian states: New South Wales and south-east Queensland" Patsy said.

Patsy's memoir shares the highs and lows of growing up in the stock routes during the 1950s and 1960s. "Drovers hold an iconic place in our Australian identity, due to the courage and perseverance needed to transport cattle and sheep hundreds of miles through rural and outback areas. But what of the women and children who travelled with them? It's definitely not a children's book, the story is told warts and all" Patsy said.

View her tour dates here and to book your seat or visit the website. Light refreshments will be provided at each event. Bookings are essential and places are filling fast.
