AirTree raises $250 million for biggest ever Australian tech VC fund

"AirTree Ventures has closed the largest ever Australian venture capital fund to invest in emerging technology companies, with $250 million raised from investors including two of the country's leading superannuation funds. The fund is run by two of the country's best-known tech investors, Daniel Petre and Craig Blair and is AirTree's second, following an initial $60 million fund it raised in July 2014. The initial fund has been spent on backing numerous start-ups including Canva, 90 Seconds, Xplor and Edrolo and the new fund will target a similar profile of fast-growing businesses." Read more
