2017 QPLA Conference: three great opportunities available

Registrations are now open for the 2017 QPLA Conference:  libraries colour my life.

The Local Government Authority Award recognises the Queensland Local Government Authority that most demonstrates outstanding community service through delivery of an individual program or service. The Award winner will receive $1,000 for their Library service. Applications close 1 September 2017.  The winner will be presented at the QPLA 2017 Conference.

Four Professional Development Bursaries to participate in the 2017 QPLA Conference on the Sunshine Coast 15 – 18 October are available. One bursary is available for each of the four regions: South-East, South-West, Central and Northern Queensland. Each bursary includes full registration, travel costs and accommodation to the value of $1,500. Applications close August 14, 2017.

A Poster Session will feature on the QPLA Conference program on Monday 16 October, 2017 and provides an opportunity for library services to showcase their projects, activities and achievements. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite poster with the winners to be announced at Monday's Gala Dinner. There are three prizes to win - 1st - $750; 2nd - $500; 3rd - $250.  Applications close 31 August 2017
