How are your 'archi' powers of deduction? Can you name a piece of iconic architecture from just a snippet of roofline? If so, we have the competition for you!

Each year in conjunction with our UQ Architecture Lecture Series, we run a competition called Arch-I-Spy, an architectural game of I-Spy that aims to celebrate our built environment and the architecture that shapes the Asia Pacific region.

All you have to do is post a snapshot of an architectural detail from a building (from the Asia Pacific) using the hashtag #ArchISpy2016, and then ask your followers to guess the building. We hope that it sparks a conversation about the work, and brings to the forefront contemporary and historical architecture and design.

The APDL team will judge the best photo each week, and announce the winner at the 2016 UQ Architecture Lecture Series. The winning image will also be displayed in the design lounge, and at the end of the series all of the weekly winners will be judged by APDL’s social media followers for a people’s choice winner.

Weekly prizes include magazines from Architecture Media and Design Offline.

The first Arch-I-Spy winner will be announced at the first UQ Architecture Lecture Series event on Tuesday 1 March, so make sure you hit the streets and get snapping!
