Step into our outdoor artist studio and discover the fun of drawing from life. Enjoy experimenting with various mediums to create a portrait of yourself or a member of your family. Feel free to draw inspiration from our dramatic play space as we have exciting dress-ups on hand to inspire designs.

This activity is presented as part of Brisbane Portrait Prize 2026 | State Library of Queensland which celebrates the courageous, creative, and passionate people who make up our city. Be sure to head up to slq Gallery on level 2 to see the exhibition including the winners of the Next Gen category for artists 18 years and under.
