Night at the library

Recommended for all ages

Children and families are invited to explore the library after dark for a special night at the library. Make your own shadow puppets, go on a neon scavenger hunt using special torches and discover what the library looks like after everyone else has gone home to bed.

Don’t forget to book your tickets to the opening night of Ellis and the Night Orchestra - a tiny opera for tiny people that blends live music, gentle storytelling and playful imagination into a high-quality theatre experience not to be missed.

Subscribe to be the first to know about our future events.

First 5 Forever is a family-centred program providing free playful experiences to support Queensland families on their child’s journey through the first 5 years. The program is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.
