Celebrate the Moon Festival with Vietnamese Playgroup

Recommended all ages

Join Vietnamese Playgroup for a playful celebration where families can learn about Vietnamese Moon Festival traditions through songs and stories, creative activities and lantern making.

Also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Moon Festival is celebrated by families across Vietnam and many parts of Asia. In Vietnam, it is a particularly special time for children, with colourful lanterns, traditional foods and families coming together under the full moon.

During this session children and their families can get creative together and discover the traditions, colours, and joy of the Moon Festival.

Did you know?
In Vietnam, the Mid-Autumn Festival is known as Tết Trung Thu. Colourful lanterns are an important part of the celebration, with children traditionally carrying them in lantern processions under the full moon.
